Walmart account registration requirements


1. Account creation

For the initial account setup, you will need the following information:

  • Company address

  • Full name of the account owner or primary contact

  • Email address

  • Company website

  • Bank account details

  • Business information to complete a W-9 form for tax purposes

2. Company registration

To register your company with Walmart, gather the following details:

  • Display name: The name that customers will see on Walmart.com

  • Corporate address

  • Country and state of incorporation

  • Doing Business As (DBA) name, if applicable

  • DUNS number: A unique identifier for your business

  • Year of foundation

3. Taxes (W-9 form)

For tax reporting, Walmart requires:

  • US Tax ID (TIN): Your federal Tax Identification Number

  • Completed W-9 form: This form is needed to issue 1099s for tax purposes at year-end

4. Payment information

Walmart processes all marketplace payments through Payoneer. Provide Payoneer account details. Ensure you have an active Payoneer account to receive payments from Walmart.

5. Shipping details

Set up your shipping model and methods.

  • Based on item weight or number of items per order

Choose shipping method and region:
  • Standard

  • Value

  • Expedited

  • Next Day
